7-Day Strategy Game Jam Welcome to the 7-Day Strategy Game Jam, a one-week game development challenge dedicated to strategy games! You have just 7 days (168 hours) to create a playable strategy game. The Challenge Create a strategy game in 7 days. Your game can be simple or complex, traditional or experimental, realistic or completely absurd. The only essential requirement is that strategy must be a central part of the gameplay. What Can You Create? All strategy-related genres are welcome, including: Turn-Based Strategy Real-Time Strategy 4X and Grand Strategy Tactical Wargames City Builders Economic and Trading Simulations Management and Tycoon Games Political and Diplomatic Strategy Tower Defense Survival Strategy Experimental Strategy Games The Theme: Open Strategy There is no mandatory theme, setting, or historical period. Rules Seven days: Development must take place during the official jam period. New projects: Your game must be created specifically for this jam. Existing games cannot be submitted.
