Welcome to the Boomer Shooter Game Jam, where your mission is to create a first-person shooter inspired by the old-school classics of the '90s and early 2000s. Think DOOM, Quake, Duke Nukem 3D, and Unreal Tournament — games where speed mattered, weapons packed a punch, enemies came in hordes, and subtlety was never an option. 🎮 THE CHALLENGE Create a playable boomer shooter from scratch or using your favorite game engine. Whether you go for demon-slaying action, retro sci-fi, over-the-top military combat, or something completely ridiculous let's see how creative people can get with slight limitations. 🔥 What You Will Be Judged For Fast-paced combat — Keep players moving, jumping, dodging, and shooting. Satisfying weapons — Shotguns, rocket launchers, miniguns, or something wonderfully unhinged. Unforgettable enemies — Demons, mutants, robots, monsters, or anything else that deserves a face full of lead. Retro-inspired style — Low-poly models, pixelated textures, crunchy visuals, or modern graphics with classic FPS energy. Explosive fun — Gore, gibbing, secrets, ridiculous weapons, over-the-top effects, and chaotic encounters are all welcome. 📜 THE RULES Your entry must be a boomer shooter — an old-school-inspired, fast-paced first-person shooter. Your game must be playable by the end of the jam. You may use any game engine, art style, or programming language. Third-party assets and pre-existing code are allowed. Make sure you have the right to use everything in your submissio…
