#4 ABOUT THE JAM Month of Horror is a casual horror game jam, open to any game engine and style of horror game. Simply put, make a horror game based on the jam's Theme, using whatever tools you want. There are also optional Bonus Challenges for those who want more guidance. Hopefully, by the end of the game jam, you'll have something playable you can be proud of! You can also join the jam's Discord server! Theme: Tortured Artist Art comes from the artist's soul. But some artists delve too deep and end up completely losing themselves in their work. Others pour their frustrations with life and the world at large into their art, which then provides a glimpse into their troubled minds and the struggles they face. And there are even rumours of creatures from beyond who act as an artist's twisted muse, while secretly feeding on their suffering. Is the protagonist of your game such an artist? Or are they simply exploring the legacy and portfolio left behind by one? Whatever the case is, your game will hopefully reveal all the dark secrets of some Tortured Artist! Bonus Challenges 1) Inner Demons: The game's story is focused on exploring some character's mental state and their struggles with their deteriorating mental health. 2) Malevolent Muse: The game's story includes a being that acts as the muse of some artist, but also has some sinister agenda of their own. 3) Magnum Opus: The goal of the game is for the protagonist to either create or find some particularly great piece of art.…
