A Music Composition Travel Based RPG Welcome to the Music Travel RPG Jam - a video game music composition journey based on a unique creative limitation - travel to a new location and face a new musical creative challenge each week! (Join the discord for tips and community discussion.) Theme: Convenience Store Anthem As a new music composer chasing your dreams, you land in your destination: Haneda Airport in Tokyo, Japan. Although you are eager to get straight work, You are extremely hungry, as it's been a long flight. A convenience store (Konbini) is nearby, selling all sorts of snacks, so you decide to stop by. Whilst perusing the local delicacies, you hear what appears to be an anthem for the convenience store in the background. Intrigued, you attempt to recreate its style. Limitation #1: Vintage Synths/Bass You must create this song only using vintage synth sounds. By vintage, I specifically mean anything released at or before the year 1995: Some choices could be (but you are not limited to): Yamaha DX 7-II Roland SC-88 or SC-55 Korg M1 Roland D-50 Limitation #2: Choir/Singing You must incorporate a choir/singing your anthem. It can be real words (English or Japanese), or just aahs and oohs. You may find vocal synthesis programs such as SynthV helpful in this regard. Ask in the discord if you need help.
