A Music Composition Travel Based RPG Welcome to the Music Travel RPG Jam - a video game music composition journey based on a unique creative limitation - travel to a new location and face a new musical creative challenge each week! (Join the discord for tips and community discussion.) Theme: A Hip-Hop Broadcast After getting to the top floor using the elevator, you discover many sections filled with music, ranging from J-Pop band to Video Game and Anime Music, but one section in particular catches your eye: the Nujabes section. Intrigued, you listen to a few songs, and are suddenly filled with inspiration. That's the challenge for this week: write a Nujabes-inspired song. Limitation #1: Lo-Fi Hip-Hop In honor of the Musician Nujabes , it must be a hip hop/lo-fi hip hop song (you make incorporate elements of funk and soul as well), but please take inspiration from the music of Nujabes. "Inspiration" could mean anything from Lo-Fi Drum beat patterns, a repeated instrumental part, or rap hip-hop vocals, but ultimately what inspiration means is up to you. Limitation #2: Vintage Samples You must incorporate at least one vintage "recorded sample" from the year 1960 or before 1960 into your composition. The sample can be from an old T.V. Show, Movie or Radio Show, and can be in any language. See the usage examples below from Undertale/Deltarune or DJ Okawari for some inspiration. Examples Nujabes Samurai Champloo - Shiki No Uta (HQ) Nujabes - Luv(sic) Part 3 feat.Shing02 [Official A…
