A Music Composition Travel Based RPG Welcome to the Music Travel RPG Jam - a video game music composition journey based on a unique creative limitation - travel to a new location and face a new musical creative challenge each week! (Join the discord for tips and community discussion.) Theme: A Love Song For Ghosts Halloween is coming up. As you continue to explore Japan, you become overwhelmed by culture shock, and just want to celebrate halloween at home. While browsing the internet for interesting spooky games to play, you come across the indie game Music Box I: Liebstraum (Liebstraum is a German word that translates to "Love Dream" in English) and decide to spend your halloween playing it. After playing the game, you are touched by Florian's story, and decide to write a song dedicated to the things that he could dream of accomplishing. Limitation #1: Music Box The only instrument you can use is the music box. You can only use ONE music box. A single music box can only play up to two notes at the same time; You may want to do a bit of reading on music boxes depending on how authentic you want to make it. You are free to add sound effects such as music box winding effects or other spooky effects if desired, and as well as detune the music box (similar to how detuning works in Lo-Fi music), just no other instruments.
