This is already the third edition of a two-day competition for teams of up to five high school students passionate about video game development. From Tuesday morning to Wednesday evening, teams strive to create a game prototype that matches a theme revealed at the event’s opening ceremony. They may use almost any tool — the game can take the form of a text adventure, feature a graphical interface, or be built using a game engine such as Godot, Unity, or Unreal Engine. Participants include students from technical, art, and grammar schools across the Moravian-Silesian region, and mixed teams composed of students from different types of schools (for example, art and technical) are also encouraged. Teams are supported by mentors representing both Czech and international game studios. The organizers have emphasized a diverse representation — from independent indie studios and small regional teams to large Czech and international companies, as well as outsourcing studios — and specialists from various fields such as graphics, 3D modeling, programming, game/level/character design, marketing, music, and sound. Also in attendance will be the organizers of the Game Access conference and a representative from the production company Cyber Sail Consulting.
