#18 RPG Maker is a simple game engine that is well suited for making classical JRPG-style games and has also been used to make many other different types of games. And now, it's time to make more of them! Hopefully, at the end of the game jam you will have something playable you can be proud of! Aside from any version of RPG Maker, this game jam also allows entries made in certain RPG Maker-like game engines and even games made in any other engine of your choice (with additional restrictions). Check the Rules and FAQ section below for details! You can also join the jam's Discord server! Theme: Adventurer's Guild There is a place where adventurers gather to rest and resupply before embarking on quests of various ranks, be it in teams or solo. Novice adventurers are mentored by their seniors, aiming to gain a higher rank and thus qualify to undertake harder and more dangerous quests. Your game's protagonist is now a member of one such Adventurer's Guild. Will they manage to rise to the very top of its ranks? Bonus Challenges 1) Assemble Your Party: At the start of the game, the player can choose from several other characters to accompany their player character. 2) Rise Through The Ranks: There's some kind of system that allows the player to rise to higher and higher ranks in an adventurer's guild (potentially up to becoming the guildmaster). 3) Quest Ranks: The player can undertake quests that have ranks marking the difficulty of the task and the reward for completing it.
